I am Amais

I sit between your data and everyone spending your budget.

Media buyers, designers, email — in-house or agency, it doesn't matter. I join your team part-time, build the measurement layer that connects them, and run the whole operation against one number instead of five dashboards.

Between
The part nobody owns

Most brands aren't short on data. They're short on someone reading all of it at once — and with the authority to change what happens next.

What I do

Four pillars, one operating picture.

Your media buyer optimises for ROAS. Your email person optimises for their channel. Your designer builds what they're briefed. Each one is doing their job well and the business still leaks money — because nobody's job is the space in between. That's the job I take.

01 Pre-click

The data layer, built properly

Clean events, server-side tracking, and one source of truth for MER, CAC and contribution margin — so the numbers your team argues about stop being opinions.

  • Event schema + server-side tagging
  • MER / nCAC / LTV modelling
  • Warehouse + reporting that reconciles
  • Creative and audience signal loops
02 Post-click

Where the money is actually won

Eight years of conversion work on landing pages, PDPs, offers and checkout. Traffic is rented. The experience you send it to is the asset.

  • Offer and pricing architecture
  • LP + PDP test programme
  • Checkout and post-purchase flow
  • Subscription and repeat-rate work
03 AI in operations

Fine-tuned models on your own numbers

Not a chatbot bolted onto a dashboard. Models tuned to your account history that read performance daily and surface what a human would miss on a Tuesday.

  • Daily anomaly + leak detection
  • Creative teardown at ad-level scale
  • Cohort and retention reading
  • Reporting that writes itself
04 The connective layer

I run the people, not just the plan

Briefs go to designers, test queues to media buyers, flow priorities to email. In-house or agency, everyone works off the same scoreboard and I hold the line.

  • Weekly growth cadence + scorecard
  • Agency and contractor management
  • Creative briefing from real data
  • Hiring and vendor selection

How it runs

Audit, install, operate.

Engagements move in that order because they have to — you can't automate a process nobody has written down yet. Typical shape below; the timeline flexes with account size.

Weeks 1–2 · Audit

Read everything end to end

Ad accounts, site analytics, email, subscription data, P&L. I map where spend goes in and where margin comes out, and name the three things costing you the most.

Weeks 3–6 · Install

Fix the measurement, then the machine

Tracking rebuilt, reporting consolidated, AI monitoring wired into the accounts. The test programme and weekly cadence start running with your existing team.

Ongoing · Operate

Embedded, part-time, accountable

I'm in your Slack and in the weekly call. Media, creative and retention all move against one scorecard, and you get a straight answer on what's working.

About

A developer who went into growth and stayed.

I spent my first few years as a developer at a SaaS company — shipping features, arguing about schemas, living inside the data. Then I moved into ecommerce and have been there for over eight years.

That combination is the whole thing. Most growth people can read a dashboard but can't build the pipeline underneath it. Most data people can build the pipeline but have never had to defend a CAC number to a founder on a Monday. I've done both, which is why I end up as the middle layer — the person who can talk to the engineer, the media buyer and the CEO in the same meeting without anything getting lost.

I write about ecommerce growth and where AI genuinely helps in marketing operations, as opposed to where it's simply being sold. I'm building a supplement brand on the side and take selective equity positions in early-stage brands.

Tell me where growth is stuck.

Send a few lines about the brand and what's not moving. If I'm a fit I'll come back with two or three things I'd look at first — useful whether or not we work together.

  • Ecommerce brands roughly $2M–$50M in revenue
  • Single-channel or omni-channel, DTC or hybrid retail
  • You already have people spending money — you need someone above them
  • Fractional: part of the team, not a deck and a handshake
